Established in June 2022 by the Lackawanna Audubon Society, the purpose of this Fund is to award scholarships to students from Lackawanna or Wyoming County who have an interest in, or who are currently pursuing, a degree or certificate in environmental sciences or a related field. Eligible students must be a graduating senior that will pursue a post-secondary education, or a currently matriculating student already so enrolled; living in Lackawanna or Wyoming county; and pursuing a degree or certificate in environmental sciences or a related field. Applicants will be required to submit a letter of recommendation and to provide a well-written essay about their interest in environmental sciences and/or environmental issues.
